Report of kickboxing Seminar Peter Aerts at Makoto Gym

Peter Aerts, who doesn't know him? Well, we noticed that not everyone knew him because if you said you were going to get a seminar from Peter Aerts, they didn't know who it was unfortunately. Rene Butzelaar, Jasper Fijma, Jonathan Ghijssen John Kuipers and I were allowed to make another long journey, this time with destination: Oldenzaal.

Makoto Gym was our destination, Sander van Ommen was already there, thanks to him we could attend this seminar, thanks to his connection with Christiaan Ballast who was the owner there. At a quarter past two we had to be ready for an hour of training from Peter Aerts (who looks a lot smaller in real life than on TV). But yes we have a job our BFG (Big Friendly Giant).

We started with a warming up, which consisted of making combinations and kneeling.

After a nice warming up we were allowed to put on the gloves I couldn't wait to get to work. Peter explained to us what the assignment was and we imitated it, there were also a few helpers to help us improve if we didn't do it right. In the beginning it was just some basic combinations such as left right, liver kick etc. we were also treated to a few elbow techniques with which Peter had won some competitions in Japan.

We had to do the last few exercises full of power and explosion, the cool down that consisted more of abdominal muscles. After all this you had a round of questions for Peter Aerts and afterwards you took a picture together with him.

Sander and Rene, we went on our own after the Seminar because they still had other appointments. Jasper John Jonathan and I got into the car to travel to Harderwijk again. And as expected John started talking about food!!!! It wouldn't be the case for once. Together we decided to finish off together at Jappas where we ate and drank our fill.

In short, this was a pleasant and fun day.!!!!!!
